Portabella Mushroom Burgers
4 Portabella Mushrooms
4 Onion Rolls
4 Slices of Pepper Jack Cheese
8 Strips of Bacon (optional)
Grill the mushrooms about 3 minutes on each side being careful not to use too much heat or you will overcook them. While grilling the burgers (or broiling them, which ever you prefer), spread some mayo on the buns & grill them as well. I also added lettuce, tomato, pickles & some onion slices to mine. The bacon is a nice touch too, but in no way required if you're looking to go vegetarian for a night.
